Matt Germano, received his Bachelor of Music Degree with an emphasis in Percussion Performance from California State University, Long Beach in 2004.
He currently serves as the Percussion Coach for the Peninsula Youth Orchestras, a position he has held since 2008, in addition to maintaining a private studio, currently at Gelb Music in Redwood City. He is also the Principal Percussionist for the Peninsula Symphony, and a faculty member at the San Francisco Symphony Adventures in Music Program. Currently he plays drums with Livewire, as well as other groups in the Bay Area.
He has performed with the Long Beach Symphony, Peninsula Symphony, Pacific Brass Ensemble, Saddleback Civic Light Opera, Livewire, Neon Velvet, Boom Box, Tony Lindsay, Taylor Eigsti, Saint Michael Trio, SF Panhandlers, Michael Spiro, Liam Teague, Ray Holman, Robert Greenidge, and many others.
He is a student of Jim Munzenrider, Dr. Michael Carney, Dr. Dave Gerhart, Randy Drake, Brad Dutz, Artie Storch, Bernie Dresel, and Dom Famularo.
